Chesapeake is one of the cities in South Hampton Roads. Organized in 1963, it is the second-largest city by land area in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The city borders the state of North Carolina and the cities of Suffolk, Norfolk and Virginia Beach. It's a diverse city boasting urban, farmland, forests, wetlands, and home to the Great Dismal Swamp National Wildlife Refuge. Located on the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway, Chesapeake has miles of industrial, commercial and residential waterfront property.
